In my previous job I used to look after procurement for a multiple site manufacturing Company and had many years of buying and renting fork trucks from places all over the UK.

Speak to 'Pros' at Hitec Lift Trucks in Wellingborough, so not too far from Bedford. I'm based in Kent and I used him multiple times, just down to the honesty and reliability of the guy really. I assume he's still there as from memory he was the owner, but if not they are a great Company anyway. Again from memory, as I haven't dealt with him for about 4-5 years, they do Cesab new and second hand.

If you can't find a number message me and i'll dig it out for you.

Hope that helps, Karl.

In a previous contract I inherited responsibility for all vehicle maintenance etc

Used a local family owned business, excellent service and very reasonable/reliable

http://meadowsforklifts.co.uk/

Would definitely use them again if the need arose

I have 45 years experience in this industry, for my money right now I would recommend CAT/Mitsubishi
Example:- 3 tonne Diesel powered
1) New DP30N – 3.3m standard two stage mast limited free lift with side shift (2170mm lowered height) @ £19415.70 (March 2014 quoted price!) plus VAT, delivered direct from www.westernmech.co.uk Dealers throughout the UK
