Hi all,

Looking to get some business cards printed for a new business, and was wondering if anybody on here had any recomendations other than the usual vista print and the like.

Happy to give a PH'er a chance if this doesnt contraviene advertising rules or anything.

Thanks guys.

For the money I find Moo's Luxe range to be superb.

Oliver,

Out of interest is 750gsm heavy enough to print satisfactorily on both sides?

The colour red is in my design if that makes any difference.

Hi Phil,

750gsm business cards are about as thick as you get and certainly able to print double sided, your typical business card is 350gsm which is also no problem to print double sided , I tend to go with 400gsm with lamination, good value for money and don't have a cheap flimsy feel, all sorts of other options available to make them stand out a bit more such as UV varnish, embossing, foil stamping etc.. check on my profile for a link to my site.

If you're interested in options email me - oliver@event-print.co.uk

Cheers

Much appreciated chap, I'm in the U.S. but I'll give you a nudge soon for my next batch and have someone pop it in the next bunch of stuff I ship across.

Can you do die cutting too out of interest?

Hi Kev (morrisk1),

I've just been comparing some of the prices on Goodprint against mine for common products such as business cards and flyers and I'm around 10% - 40% cheaper on a like-for-like basis..

as an example..

Goodprint:- 1000x A5 double sided flyers, standard paper - £82.00 with delivery

my price on 170gsm paper would be £50.00 delivered.

Please get in touch if you would like quotes on any requirements to compare...!

If comparing prices for leaflets - Leafletfrog can do 1000 A5 double sided flyers including delivery for £36 or £39 on 170gsm Silk.

Their price is based on 9-10 days which is a long wait time for 1000 leaflets. For quicker delivery it is £52.90 with proof.
Leafletfrog price of £39 is for next day despatch and includes proof.

The leafletfrog stock is a thinner 150gsm..

I'll offer a price match/beat on any of the above with standard turnaround time of 3-4 days and free artwork check... all ordering is directly with me as well rather than online and uploading artwork to websites etc which some people prefer..

Goodprint are now owned by Tangent Communications, their sister site, printed.com - offers the same (ish) products as Goodprint at much cheaper prices.

Also if you use Goodprint, make sure you go through adwords on a search term such as 'cheap business cards' to get a much better price.
