Calling all Sports Psychologists
Discussion
OP if you want to make any money from psychology then sports isn't the field. They jobs which pay decent money are few and far between and usually for the very experience. I have 2 friends who are psychologists, one NHS getting about 40-50k after 3 degrees, masters and then qualifications and his wife who did her PHD and does private work from a rent-by-the-day place on Harley St and charges over £100 and hour to the worried well and makes about double what my friend does.
If you want to make money then move in to money areas, i.e. rich people. You may think sports people are rich but besides a few top footballers there isn't that much money in sport. Move in to business psychology and keep this in mind, Goldman Sachs in London office alone have 3 full time psychologists.
