Eon Energy data protection breach.

I was written to by Eon a few weeks ago in connection with a number of business energy accounts we have with them. The letter said that Eon had been guilty of a data protection breach and that our data had been passed to a third party.

I have contacted Eon but they are not prepared to disclose who they have passed the data to, or what the nature of the data was. They are stating that all they will do is issue a deadlock letter so we can approach the ombudsman.

Has anyone else had similar problems?
