..website?

So far i am hammering Facebook, instagram and twitter. The cars getting wrapped on wednesday with a car specific discount code on it. I've got 1500 flyers coming to offer to local people, again with a local discount code on. Any other methods? I've promoted my FB page and website on FB for a couple of days just to see if it actually works.

How niche is your product? Are people likely to Google for it?

After checking your site, your products are well priced, (Lishinu 3m Retractable Bungee Lead) is cheaper than amazon, and even the bigger online pet stores. Anyway you can get on those price comparison sites? I dont have a clue about how much that costs though and may then increase prices etc.

Also as a potential customer, whats the delivery rates etc, i always have a we check on a delivery page when im shopping, if i cant find it i instantly think "The delivery will be loads, no thanks" when in reality it wont, im just to lazy to go via checkout. (for example i just went on a worse looking site than yours for dog beds but their is an instantly noticeable £4.95 flate rate delivery sign, making me look at dog beds lol)

Also work on your google rankings (have zero clue) but i even searched your name and cant find you on the first few pages and gave up.

If not im sure i just added to your advertising by telling everyone here i price checked your stuff and they should click your name and visit your site lol

There is no point hammering anything until you actually finish the site - I would say its 60 / 70% done.

I have realised there is no mention of delivery cost (it is free) so thats something to add on to probably the listings?

Have a returns section, delivery section, about us (youve tried to add that to news but its not news..) do you have a privacy policy?(most sites seem to have that..) contact us page? Just makes it look more professional.

Look at our returns page - it had a lot of effort put in, the wording isn't perfect yet but it's a nice layout

Have you tested it to ensure it's mobile friendly? Google now penalises sites that use templates which don't adapt to phone/tablet browsing.

I'd also work on your descriptions a bit more so they're easier for people to find. As an example;

http://homeandbarker.com/collections/bedding/produ...

Your description for this currently says;
Delicately beautiful floral design. Catherine Lansfields Annabella range is a subtle way to add some colour to any bedroom.

You need to think about what search terms people will be using to look for a duvet set. I'd certainly ensure that you keep the "Catherine Lansfields Annabella range" bit, as people may indeed search by the designer and range, but "Delicately beautiful floral design" is not something I'd type in when searching for a duvet set.

I'm not great at descriptions by any means, but a more suitable one may be something along the lines of;

"This duvet set, from the Catherine Lansfields Annabella range, features a pink rose pattern across a white and duck egg blue background, embellished with white lace. This set comes in four sizes, including matching pillowcases." Keep the sizing underneath as that's important. Also I know it's obvious that all duvets are machine washable, but I'd stick "Machine Washable" in the description lists as well, just to make it 100% clear to potential buyers.

I'd also start planning out blog posts now as you'll soon find it's been 2 months since you last wrote one, I now plan mine months in advance and get them written 3 weeks before I want to post them. In my case they do a remarkably good job of bringing people in to my website so they're essential, for the time being you may want to experiment to see what works with bringing people in and what doesn't.

Good luck!

Start a you tube channel and do some videos, how to put a duvet cover on would appeal to me, washing techniques all the stuff you think doesnt matter does add up to a good experience.
If you use google analytics analyse your basket to buy % as if you get say 500 people adding to basket and only 10 buying you dont need traffic you need a better checkout.

I like stuff like

When will it come - answer
What if its the wrong size - answer
what if I am out - aanswer
what if I change my mind - answer
what if it breaks or rips - answer

the more clarity you convey the less buyer anxiety you cause and the more likely of an order
add ZOPIM live chat as well with messages to your smart phone

I have just had a switch around on the footer. Now prepped and ready for me to write all the delivery, return and company info stuff later.

With regards to the youtube channel.. I don't even know how to put on a bloody duvet cover! So you might be onto to something there.

Next job is get the descriptions more searchable. Job the Mrs that one!

It might be stressful and a pain in the arse but if it does all work out i will know I've built it up with my own hands!
