Business - call answering services...

The t'other half cannot handle the amount of calls she's receiving and needs a receptionist type situ' where a real human can take down details and pass them on. Rather than employ someone, she prefers the idea of a service that will just invoice her.

Does anyone use a business call answering service and what has been your experience? Any tips, services to look at; appreciated.

The women on the other end sound very professional, the company has a good website where you can set up short scripts for them and it's not too expensive.

Highly recommended.

It's perfect if I want to work on something uninterrupted for an hour, if I'm in no rush to get into the office first thing, if I'm driving, or if I wish to read a newspaper on the loo. In particular I set it up when on holiday which reduces the stress of missing potentially worthwhile sales calls.

They send you a text and an email so you can decide whether or not it's worth calling somebody back instantly, or to ignore it.

I use Liscard Business Centre - http://www.liscardbusinesscentre.com/telephone-ans... - very nice people and they have call answering clients all over the Country including a big football club iirc so they're sure to be able to help.

We used Answer4u for years. We only stopped it recently when we moved some of our operational support activities in-house & had sufficient people to cover the phone.

Callmissjones looks good but more expensive than answer.co.uk. I'm on 91p a call at the moment, pay as you go, including bank holidays and weekends though incoming sales calls are paid for.

We have used call miss jones for 3 years now, excellent service.
