Online reviews and people jumping on the bandwagon despite no direct experience of a supplier can be devastating for some businesses. I do see why PH have a no name/shame policy. I know of more than one automotive services supplier that gets a hammering on certain forums and yet there's no/little evidence of any wrongdoing other than hearsay. Its all 'Don't touch them with a bargepole, etc.' based on a story someone once told them. The supplier even posted once to say they had not had any issues with their service and yet I still see new owners being advised to use other suppliers in preference.

Thought I'd bump this as I've found out Facebook now allow businesses to turn off reviews through the Settings tab. This pleases me greatly; it annoys me how customers are quick to leave negative feedback but reluctant to leave positive feedback. Be better not to give the option at all

Yeah - I always try to give good feedback when it's earned as I know there are so many whingers out there.

Exactly. In my business, "no news is good news" smile

I posted a thread about this a while back. We get customers who often e-mailed in to say thanks for the great service etc and I wanted to be able to send them a link to our google reviews page.

Anyway the next guy to email in, high praise etc I sent him the link and he promptly left a review.... 3 stars.... eh?!

You just cant win with some people!

Is 3 star not the default?

Like you see some people say "wonderful service thank you" and leave a 3 star review
