Just a warning to anyone who uses fuel cards for their business.
We have had accounts with a well known fuel card issuer for a number of years, allowing us to get fuel from a chain of petrol stations whose name resembles the house of a snail.

I had an invoice on my desk the other day, its one of those invoices that is checked for the transaction, but not the values... We are currently paying 130.7p per liter for diesel, as opposed to the 99.9p in the garage up the road.

We used to get price confirmations weekly, but our accounts lady stopped getting them, pretty much as soon as the prices started to fall.

So check your fuel prices folks.

Wow that's a massive overpayment. Depending how much you spend per year I might be able to help. Lot's of hidden charges with Fuel Cards too. If you don't spend that much, I can point you to a supplier anyway.

I just joined BE Fuels Cards (yes BE) Its for BP Fuel Diesel is about 82.9p + VAT. Thats fixed prices, even the motorway services. Watch out with the extras like car wash and washer fluid they charge 2x the actual price if bought with the fuel card, Also some BP stations sell the diesel cheaper then I can get on the car. The only downside is that invoicing is weekly, I invoice monthly!

Another good thing, They email you on Monday with weeks price so you are warned if raised or lower.

Thanks Fella

We spend about £60k per year give or take. i have just been in contact with the BE cards, and they seem to fit our needs really well.

Just looked at your profile, I used to know Chris Allison!
