Strip complete wheel
Prime complete wheel
Paint complete wheel in grey
Put wheel on lathe and machine front face
Lacquer complete wheel

No setting up a wheel repair company in north Essex now with all that secret knowledge I've just told you (and the entire www), LOL.

I should probably have guessed it was something so simple, the following comment made me think you had some sort of funky cutting insert though.

Since this has been bumped - where are you based? No details of company or location in your profile (get it sorted) smile Looking to have some Scirocco R wheels done in the not too distant future so would be good to know thumbup

Thread resurrection time.

Noticed a few people replied to this thread that must run CNC equipment, well my machine has worked fairly hard for the last 20 months, but has now thrown a hissy fit with regard to the software side of things.

Now been offline for over a week and the supplying company don't have a clue as to what the issue is, so can anybody recommend a company I can call that may be able to help.

Tried a couple but they all seem to deal with only certain makes of machine.

I don't mean to be patronising, and I know nothing about this equipment, but have you looked for every snap together component on all circuit boards, made sure the connectors are seated properly, all RAM modules and ribbon cables are properly seated etc etc.

Apologies if this is the first thing you tried!

I would check all sensors are working correctly and also check any CMOS or battery backup.

Well a week has been spent trying various things with no luck, we have tried loading new software and it just won't let us, pointing towards a hardware problem.

So, a new "brain" has been ordered, at a cost of £3800, but sadly China is now closed for 2 weeks due to new yr, so wont be sent until at least the 24th.

After a customer taking me for £5700 last week, and one of the vans blowing its engine I hoped my bad luck was over for this yr. Must have really cheesed someone off , lol.
