Classics seen at regular dealers
Discussion
The Skoda dealership I bought my car from and use for servicing etc, has got this rather lovely example of a classic Octavia Combi in amongst their stock of Yetis, Fabias and so forth. You'd never see it unless you went into the dealership, but I quite like it. They had it for sale when I originally went to view, now they just have it on display, though they probably will sell it eventually. I have asked if I can use it as a courtesy car next time I am in for any work being done... I doubt they will allow this.
So what little gems like this have you seen at your local dealership?

It's not unknown to see classics of the right brand in a dealership - quite often, they belong to the DP if it's an indie dealership, or they'll be blagged from a local enthusiast.
There's a Honda dealer near here with a Messerschmitt and a Fiat 500 Jolly, together with a bloody great big Jag leaper, on top of the partitioned-off office bit inside their showroom.

It works out well for both sides. The dealer gets the curiosity in the showroom and the owner gets free clean and secure storage. My local Lamborghini dealer keeps a QV5000 on a podium for an owner.
Must be a pain if the owner just fancies taking it for a spin on a Sunday though, unless they have keys to the dealership.patmahe said:
