A question for the PH brain trust.

While I have various technical issues still to sort out on my website I cannot get my head around this so an explanation by the more technically savvy would be appreciated.

Take the same product page on my website; www.transmittersrus.com/shop/tieline-via-the-remot...

and that of a far larger competitor: http://www.bswusa.com/Codecs-Tieline-VIA-Portable-...

My page passes the test while their's does not, however according to my Samsung Galaxy my page layout is all over the place while there's looks 99% kosher.

What am I not understanding and is this an expensive fix across my site, ie to both pass the test AND have the corect look without losing any functionality?

Thanks.

Phil

Yours has some responsive elements to it but the CSS is all over the place, the general framework (bootstrap?) is there though so Google will favour that.

The competitors simply isn't responsive, it's a desktop site shrunk down to fit the screen.

What platform is your site built on? I'm on my phone so can't dig into the code.

Exactly that; Google's mobile test is very basic. It essentially just checks that your page adapts to different display sizes, it doesn't care if elements overlap or not (which may or may not be intentional).

Watch out for Googles upcoming preference for AMP - check out the Yoast blogs on it.

It would not be as expensive as you think to get your site fully responsive. There is a pretty extensive use of plugins which never make it as clean as it could be but it should be easy enough to fix.

Thank you for the education gentleman,

Evolved, platform in WooCommerce.

I'm sure I can ask my developer to clean up the css.

Uber, can you recommend such a plugin to assist with the display of my site on mobile devices?

Thanks.
