Wonderful bank- I have a personal account with them- it’s great, you get to talk to real adults and stuff- people who actually know who you are.
I was invited to Christmas nibbles and drinkies last year where they all said hello to me.
Every time I call in, it’s a brew and some “how’s life?” chit chat.
Abroad at short notice?
Just ring them up with the limit you want on your card spend, and when you are coming back, all sorted, no online guff, no paperwork.
I think the Aylesbury branch has 70 clients, yes seventy! Although I hear some of these are a lot more loaded than me (that’s not difficult though).
I can use their car park in town FOC.
Anything they consider unusual on my account, immediate phone call.

Downside
Its £15/month.
Transactions aren’t instantaneous, like my Halifax account was.
Err…… that’s it

My sister has an account now, and swears by them.

All sounds pretty great to me. Must be the polar opposite of the bank i currently use...

I'm a Personal banking customer. Joined them around 5 years ago.

Pretty happy. There were a few niggles when I first joined with the amount of time it took to process transactions but they seem to have addressed this.
Just sold my car this morning. Buyer sent £20k on his mobile. I logged in on my mobile and it was showing. Used to be next day for that but much quicker now.

The personal touch is good. I needed a bridging loan when buying said car, HB actually recommended I go elsewhere as it would be cheaper, but if there was a problem they would 'sort it'. All agreed over a simple phone call.

TBH, I'd pay £15pm just for the direct dial facility. I hate pressing buttons to speak to XYZ and having 15 stage password verification, drives me insane.

Ringing my neighbour, is a much more pleasant experience!

I have just started banking with Handlesbanken, but don't recall them mentioning £15pm. Do you know what this is for? Maybe they waive it in my case as I've just borrowed a truly obscene amount of money from them to buy my 'forever' house..? It is a nice feeling to have a 'real' bank manager for a change, last time I experienced this was 20 years ago with Coutts, but they effectively kicked me out by upping their charges unless I kept a daft amount in my current account. Ironically, I only started making proper money after I stopped dealing with them laugh

Cheers PH, overjoyed at dealing with a real bank with real people that actually understand business and how the world works, whilst having the power to say "yes" at branch level without reverence to a computer.

Just transferred both personal and business accounts over to my local branch.

Early days, but they have a genuine desire to work with and understand their customers, plus they've agreed to a rather useful mortgage package.

Funnily enough just heard from HB this week. I rarely speak to them so was surprised to receive a call.

They had picked up on a fraud attempt and had stopped it. First call was from the fraud office in London then shortly after, someone from my own branch contacted me to follow up. We had a really good chat and I came out of it quite confident that I was in good hands.
