Hi, wonder if anyone knows Ali Baba well? I have two or three items I'm considering OEM bulk purchases on but I want samples before committing.

They've agreed to send me a sample on receipt of payment for the sample cost. But they do not tell me how to pay it!!! I'm using the Ali Baba app on my iPhone and there is a process it seems but it never lets me complete.

Ive asked them how to pay but heard nothing back; almost like they think I'm a rookie and not worth bothering with. Frustrating as I'm a genuine buyer...

Any advice is appreciated!

They usually want you to the pay system or paypal. Last few I've used paypal.

It doesn't help if they don't tell you though, especially as it's quite daunting sending money to a random company in another country.

Yes I ask them to send me a pay link and they respond like I'm stupid... as though there is a protocol and I'm way wide of the mark. So confusing.

Doesn't Ali Babi use Ali Pay the same as Ali Express? That mean's you're covered if it doesn't turn up.

If you have never heard of Alibaba then where have you been hiding??????

They are the worlds largest online retailer, with a market value of around $230Billion. on the Chinese version of Black Friday (Singles Day) they do business worth $14Billion ($1billion in the first hour last year).

They started off being a business to business type of online platform and it was quickly used by businesses outside of china who didnt have offices near Shenzen factories to find new products.

Jack Ma (owner) is a business legend, currently worth $26b and has started to "save the world" with some of his money.

If you purchase samples using the Ali Pay systems you should be ok, its more secure than Paypal thats for sure :-)

And they are coming to the UK....Somebody that Amazon are very scared of already. Competition is king.

Thanks, I finally got one company to allow me to pay and they are sending the sample... it seemed it was more down to the companies weighing me up as an individual; and gauging if I was serious about an OEM order; which I am - but it may not have looked that way.
