Insurance in these places must cost a bomb.

It's also an overhead that even with a good claims history you have very little control over, never mind just starting out.

Best of luck....

It doesn't have to cost a bomb. but its never cheap ......unless you get trampolines, then they carry a 25k minimum premium

How the hell do they manage to profit from it??? Renting a shell of a warehouse would cost £100k+ and then you have to kit it out plus hire staff.

Thank you, I have one but haven't installed it yet, mainly as I have not quite figured out how to get high enough into the roof! I have an ebay watch for similar ones to fit more.

I can tell you are right because it is plenty warm enough on the top level of the frame......
No problem!

You'll be pleasantly surprised at the cost savings you get from doing it. Just make sure you've enough for the whole area to maximise the benefit!

Small compact scissor lifts can be hired for 3 days at around £100ish plus delivery/collection (depends on how near to their base you are) so that's your easiest way :-)

HTH!

I have done a bit of research and found that the area I live in, only has 1 other soft play area.
Maybe why it's not such a great idea then.

A couple of helpful points

1. The professional bodies for these are BALPPA and BACTA. Have a look at their websites. Loads of useful info and they are very approachable to talk to

2. The EAG Expo started today at Excel in London and is on till Thursday. Lots of stuff here for the "family entertainment centre" part of the industry

We're on stand 425 if you want to come and say hi

Maybe I am just a 'does what it says on the tin' man.

But to me this is just marketing guff and says very little.

"EAG International and Visitor Attractions Expo are simply the best way to keep up to date, see what’s new and find out what is happening in your industry.

• More than 300 represented from around the world
• More than 100 of the biggest and best brands
• Demonstrating the latest products, services and upgrades
• Showcasing the newest technologies and innovations
• Where else can you find, see and try out so much in so short a space of time?
Plus

• Up-to-the minute seminars and learning clinics
• A fantastic party
• A chance to catch up friends and colleagues from all over the world
• A fun way to do serious business.

EAG and VAE continue London's proud tradition of hosting the first major international event for the amusement and attractions sectors, that can be dated back as far as 1936. It represents a unique opportunity to understand the history of an industry and to see the path of its future in a single event. Where better to plan the direction of your business?"
