Yeah, but is like getting a win on a fruit machine? Should you pull out all your cash now while you're up, or risk losing it all! Decisions, decisions.... scratchchin

sounds a bit like unprotected sex. keep going for more pleasure or withdraw to avoid a massive loss of savings. hehe

I just made £1.42! thumbup

Eta - Then again, I am only betting 20p per point so I am pretty happy. I am taking minimal risks and betting on binary commodities.

Infact, its not minimal risk but it is limited risk.

I am making the most of my ability to place small amounts per point.

I made £3! But that just brings me back to where i started after an 'expensive' screw up yesterday

Without my mistake, over 3 days I would have made £4.70 with 10p bets. If you scale that up to what DJC originally stated it matches up perfectly! With £10 bets i would have made £470 in my first three days.

tip of the day: don't forget to click the "ok" after placing some order. I went off, came back and saw a message with the "ok" button and thought, "SHIT! what have I done???". I'd only reset a stoploss but thought I might have accidentally bought something. hehe

That sounds fair enough & quite understandable.

But thanks for your initial comments, it's at least prompted me to do a bit of reading & light experimentation. I for one would be interested in any more anecdotes you have to share or insights into the decision making process that goes through your mind before deciding on a trade.

It's nice & quiet in here so hopefully there'll be no willy-waving!

OK Ive just scanned through and see none of the City boys doing their usual hooray henry rara arent we brilliant cos we earn more money than you chaps, claptrap.

First off...it is *very* easy to lose a lot of money doing this. Be under no illusions.

Ok, Golden Rule:
Patience is the most important attribute.

Always, always, always exercise patience. I have found there is only one way to learn this...lose money.

There is always another deal, in the next binary. The next hour, day, week, etc.

The binaries have human characteristics. They are not strictly logical. I have told several ppl now when they have informed that either the Gold or Silver binaries have bingo'd out early on to carry on watching because they will often come back. The hourly binaries and 20mins also have quirks of personality, such as last minute changes of direction and despite spending 99% of the time one way, will flip in the last minute. With time you learn to spot these. You learn to sense when they will happen. You WILL not sense every one and you will lose money, just learn to spot enough of them so you can make more money before you lose.

Dont bet all your pot, there is no need. Slowly and surely will serve you much better.

Oh and "bingo'ing out" for those who have been wondering why Im talking crap is from the air world. Bingo fuel and bingo ammo means there is nothing left in the pot and rtb.

I think I experienced this yesterday. I nearly sold when I was £200 down but something told me to be patient. Ended up about £40 up!

A scam?

Yes, IG Index, the largest spread betting firm in the world is running a scam. City Index, capital markets and all the over large firms who advertise all over Bloomberg and the financial world are scams.

Ive just taken the money off 80 odd ppl on phs to run their investments for a scam.
Ive put my name and rep on the line for a scam.
Ive put my own business on the line for a scam.
Ive written several posts outlining in rather explicit detail how you can up and lose a lot of money quite considerably for a scam.
Ive outlined the money Ive personally made for a scam.
Ive outlined how much Ive lost in 5 mins for a scam.

FFS! At least engage some braincells before speaking. Or better yet, do some research of your own instead of just reading what you see posted on P&P because you know, that would require soooo much effort.

Dunno why I bother sometimes.

Thanks... I meant people don't offer free advise to make money, so was looking for a catch and after READING though the posts was thanking you for your effort that's all.

uhoh. think there's been a bit of a misunderstanding.

DJC we really appreciate the time you've taken to explain and re-explain.

I think the problem is that most of the guys who've started trading from PH have never come across IGindex before never mind binary trading, so it all appears to be a bit odd as a potential get-rich-quick scheme, despite the huge pitfalls. I guess in a way, I'm more trusting because I've been using* IGindex for about 8 months already. Anyway, bear with us newbies, we're bound to ask stupid questions.

People offer free advice on how to make money all the time. Whether that advice is any good and whether those who try to practice that advise have the ability to are different things entirely.

The catch is also rather obvious...its gambling!
