Hi

Does anybody here send out bulk text messages? We are payroll company and want to send text messages to all of the people we pay to let them know how much they have being paid in to their bank account.
I have heard that you can buy say 10,000 text messages to use; does any one here offer the service?

Cheers

John

Sounds like a bit too much information to broadcast in this way. What if a number is wrong? Or if things get out of sequence (never trust computers THAT much).

John,
I work for a company in exactly the same market as yours. We use a company called Text Local (www.txtlocal.com) who are very good. If you can commit to buying a load of SMS's in advance they'll do you a really good rate as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions smile

Phil.

I use these guys as well. Very good service. You can even specify which time the messages are to be sent. ie: you would know that funds would clear in a certain employees account by x o' clock on x day, so send the text then...

Little bit of value added that way wink

This is a good service to add on. Composite provider I used to be with when contracting did this when we were paid. "Dear Mr xxxx, you have been paid £xxx in to your account. Regards, Brookson". Nice little touch and good to know you have been paid on time if you cant access a banking terminal etc.

[not that I'd advise anyone going with said clowns now hehe]

Hiya,

We send MMS brand advertising for companies like SKY - www.wizemobile.co.uk

Although we do not push SMS to our clients unless they request it (there's so little margin in it) we could send them for a fellow PHer + we'll be cheaper than txtlocal who charge 8p-3.9p dependent on volume.

Will be happy to help.
Best
Donny
