Assuming that you're on good terms with whoever wrote the cheques then the Yorkshire account holder should be able to get hold of copies of the originals (front and back) this should show who had processed them and may help in the argument if your DB account is in anyway marked on it in processing, or if they show DB processed them and they are payable to you then DB would have a problem paying the money to anyone else.

Otherwise tricky to prove. Any other evidence that you were at the bank at a certain time - have you asked DB about their CCTV of your visit?

I am on good terms, yorkshire should have no problem with providing that if the account holder asks?

DB know i was there on that day, I paid in another (german) cheque (from the tax office! biggrin ) at the same time, and that went through OK
