Once you start trading, you need to inform HMRC within three months of your commencement date.

if you are going to trade online, a certain amount of dexterity is advisable with the key board.

Al you need to do is open an account with a broker/spread betting company or whatever and put some money in.

Or am I missing something? It's all gone a bit twilight zone on here tonight and I am being forced to shake off my 8 posts a month average.

The fact you are selling "online" doesn't make a great deal of difference to a traditional business in terms of any legal requirements.

Tax, Insurances, potentially VAT etc etc.

Lots if info been posted here before, do a search.

e-trading is no different to any other form of trading. The same notifications and tax requirements need to be adhered to.

Why do you need a partner?
Will you want to set up a formal partnership?
Have you considered operating through a limited company?
Have you conducted any market research?
Why are you limiting your selling to on-line only?
Have you carried out any sort of business plan?
Do you know what your expected or desired Mark Up/Gross Profit margins are going to be?

Here's a tip, and it's very simple and has kept me sane for many years:

Make sure your incomings exceed your outgoings.

Failure. With planning like yours in a crowded marketplace.

Why? Your money and their brains? Or their brains and their money?!
