as Matt says, the only point to this is if you are a [registered] trader and then you would need to ensure you followed the FSA rules on offering finance.

If your private, or a 'weekend car dealer', just point the buyers to moneysupermaket.com to get a loan..

Please explain what a "registered" trader is??

You will need a Credit Consumer License to offer finance. Costs about £120 from OFT. If you need any more help or advice, give me a shout and I'll happily give you my brokers number, they deal with Prime and sub prime clients.

what I mean is, someone VAT registered selling cars as a company, rather than just a bloke doing it on the weekend to try and make some cash.
