We use New Zapp, who may not be the cheapest but the system is easy to use, works really well without any downtime and most of all we get results from it!

My criteria when I was looking was functionality, ease of use and attitude of staff on the end of the phone, not cost.

Loads of these companies about and they are all pretty similar but I won't be moving my business for a whilewink

looked at New Zapp and have a demo booked, does look good but as you say not the cheapest, what sort of return do you think you're getting?

We've been looking at Newsweaver. They're not cheap either. Has anyone used them in the past? We have a huge customer database and up until now we have been using software to send our newsletters in house. This isn't really a practical option any more due to new ISP SMTP restrictions. We have to send about 300k emails per month. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We mail on a monthly basis and on the last mailing we sent out just over 2000 emails and had the following results:

A 40% 'open' rate - pretty good, but not all the story
30 'clients' clicked a picture or link
2 confirmed orders with a total value of just over £10k (1 new client, 1 existing client with a new requirement as a direct result of the content in the email)

I think the results are pretty good and on the whole I'm very happy but I use it as a method of keeping people aware 'we' are here and don't expect results all the time. By mailing on a regular basis you keep people aware of your and your company and it will hit some desks at exactly the right time - when the time is right!
