Ah, what I meant was that they were copying that type of player from the US, not that this was where they originate from themselves. In the UK this type of individual transcends all classes and cultures.

I still go by the original qaulity brands if I can i.e. Armani, Prada, Gucci ect.
Ralph Lauren are the only brand that actually offer some kind of quality these days, IMO. .
I despise everything about Ralp Lauren, especially its image and the people who are coated head to toe in the crap.

I buy quite a bit of Paul Smith stuff and quite like the John Smedley jumpers, apart from that, ther are so many little shops around London that do well priced interesting clothes.
I have mostly Ralph Lauren T-shirts bought in the States for about £5-7 and they last ages, nowt to do with the brand they simply last longer than GAP or Timberland equivalents. Mind you have had similar success with 5 for $20 t-shirts from footlocker.

I have done it in the past with credit cards and not proud of it.

Emotional spending or something like that!..

Sweet didnt know it had been going for that long, was just trying to illustrate the point that someone has pretty much done what OP was talking about.

Think the stuffs horrid to be honest.

Like All Saints though! (runs for cover)

And although TK Maxx gets hammered I picked up 2 William Hunt suits there for 300 quid, i have bought off the peg suits from Dunhill that look no better for 6-700!
Its funny with TK Maxx sometimes you go in there and there is nothing but on occassions you hit the jackpot
