Any recruitment consultants here? (software recommendation)

Hi all, hopefully someone on here is in recruitment and can point me in the direction of the best place to get software. It's for a client that only needs 1 user, has a very limited budget (sub £1K) and specialises in IT jobs. Ideally something very user friendly, not necessarily all singing and dancing but should cover the basics of the job, and no high future support/maintenance charges to make up for a low initial cost. Anyone use or know of such a system?

Found this one on Google starting at only £295 ( www.palustris.co.uk) which seems very cheap. Anyone used it?

I customised ACT! for 'er indoors recruiment business.

Its limited on its out and out functionality but for what it is, it works pretty well.

How long did that take? I am guessing from your IT background it isn't childs play.

They are getting a new website too so I am hoping that we can automate the full process from them putting a job into the system, to it appearing on the site, someone seeing that job and then uploading their CV on the site, it then gets imported directly into the system, etc. Might be a bit of an ask given the budget though.

Yeah thats what hers does, the job is captured, assigned to a group and then once a day, or more often if required the whole lot is uploaded to the website for people to apply. If they want to apply they click through the advert which sends back the job reference and at that point they can attach a CV if they wish.

Whole thing including the website took me about a week, background in IT but very limited web dev skills and had never touched ACT before.
