I am putting together a regional (and in time national) price and service comparison site.

Due to popularity of such sites I wondered wether there is and off the shelf IT solution for a websites, if not whether you have any recommedations for sutably qualified web developers / IT bods. I have a number of IT related connections already but I would be keen to get in contact with someone who has experience in this area already.

If not availible off the shelf, recommendations for a suitable person or company to develop?

Possible partnering or investment opporunity considered with this venture.

Any recommedations ?

Whats your USP, because this is a saturated market with some very big players involved

It has now got to the point were I have to check half a dozen comparison sites to check the best price.

IMO they are no different to a broker.

Now what we need in a price comparison, comparison site!

Hi Nick,
I'd be interested in your research of a comparison engine - I have the perfect marketable domain for it as well.
Best,

Affilistore takes feeds from suppliers and displays them. http://www.affilistore.com/

Its pretty easy to get a basic site up but gets complicated pretty quickly when you dig into it.

I am keen to have something more than a basic site, something very quite advanced to demonstrate a quality business. I have in mind quite a lot of extra functionality. Something as similar to GOcompare - but not in their market place

Cheers
