Hello all
I was wondering if there are any unwritten rules about what kind of Point of Sale things to choose for particular products. We would like to provide retailers with something to put/hang/stick on shelves with our product. What kind of things should we think about?
Anyone got any experience? Thanks S

Usual marketing advice. Think about the setting of your product, the target customer, an instant impact as people browse.

Hard to be specific without details of the product type and typical sales location

Talk to the retailers, they will tell you what they want. Consider that they will not want it to get in the way of lines that sell well already. When I last did a retail product launch we did two trial,s one with 250 stores, then took the lessons we learnt and did I trial of 3k stores. That was Nov 2006 and Jan 2007. By december 20007 we had 20k retailers and the POS worked well enough that we had sold more in our first year than prjected by end of year 3!

Good POS works and its best to take your time, trial it and get it right. Key is the product and retailer.
