Hi All,

I have a strategy to exposing my business service to potential clients in the way of producing a high quality brochure to distribute to potential clients and clients
that i am currently in deal negotiations with.

I currently have an introduction PDF that i send via e-mail but i feel this doesn't have the hard back feel and also many
of the clients are likely to pass the hard back copy to their friends and giving it the exposure it needs.

Potential defects are as i have not won my first project, what number should i put on the brochure and also address?

Logo etc are under way, i am just slightly concerned about obviously not having a number and office address.

1 Solution would be to produce only a few just to win my first project then once i have an office then produce a revised brochure.

What are your thoughts?

Many thanks, regards

What about a virtual office?

You can get a address and number and also answered in you company name or

an 0800 number to your mobile? can be transfered at a later date and you can always keep the same number.

That is a potentially good idea.

Does it not cost a sum per month though?

Many thanks

you can actually buy local numbers (eg 0121) and then divert them to a mobile or home phone or both, just google for them. companies who want to give the impression that they are local use them. not expensive to do.

no ,you pay for the call transfer. so you load on say £50 and when it runs out you load up your account again. check out dmclub.

I used dmClub (or Digitalmail as it was then called) when I worked in Germany in 1996 and the service was crap.

I bought a couple of 0845* number for the two business I run / ran.

£20.00 to buy and no on going fee unless you route them to a mobile number.

I have just recently found BT RingCentral which seems to offer an 0844 or 0800 number which you can then divert to other numbers including mobiles.

We are going to be using it to offer an Auto Attendant - Press 1 for Electrical, 2 for Home Technologies, 3 for Fire Safety type service so we can then answer calls when no one is in the office.

£15 a month with 200mins of land line call time. I think that is a bargin for a small business with little time in the office.

Ah, you're thinking of having a brochure produced!

I started my business simply with a dining table and a phone/fax machine. I didn't see the point in spending loads on shiny brochures because, well, what do you do if you get a free brochure? That's right, you bin it. You'll get an awful lot of phone calls for the same price. Go and see people, do the deals. The best salesman is you, not a bunch of paper. And of course these days you have the interwebby thing, which costs tuppence and can be updated instantly for nothing.
