I take it you've been offered an inclusive price including system, calls and rental? It probably seems cheap because you are paying too much for calls now. Check contract length too. HTH.

Yep that's it - their call rates are silly cheap 0.5ppm, we're paying 1ppm now which I though was a seriously good rate. Our average bill is only £250-£350 quid..

Not seen the contract yet but will be going over it with a big magnifying glass on Monday..

My company waters a plant in their reception in Salisbury for them. Couldn't tell you if they are a good firm but there's always some serious car in the car park (two R8s at one point out of about 6-7 cars).

Hi

Systems been installed and a few of the features we required are surprise surprise not available.. seems to be a major case of salesperson not listening to the requirements and concentrating on getting a signature on the order form.. anywho now waiting on them sorting it but I fear we're going to be disappointed..

Anyone had any dealings with them?..

Likewise can't name & shame in public

However the words pole & barge would perhaps be involved.

Go for a smaller local company, one that answers the phone when your lines fail. Always make sure you have at least one normal line as well as whatever IP system you get.

4com are a pain in the ar*e if you get on their telesales list. Keep on ringing even when you tell them to take you details off their system. Do not give them your number unless you want to be constantly bothered by them

What they actually pay you to come out and water 1 plant?

Blimey, no offence to you ( I am sure your companies watering skills are some of the best around) but I would be tempted to tell the receptionist "hey love once a week chuck a glass of water from the toilets on that there plant, cheers"

4com? laugh Is that supposed to be a clue to their customer service attitude?

Now I'm going to really confuse you: they rent it from us and we water it as part of the deal.

Add that to your list of pointless jobs!

No, it makes sense.

But for 1 plant? Surely that's costing you more when you factor in the travelling and time?

Unless it was a 'foot in the door' hoping they would want more plants?
Wow, this has gone so OT!

You pay more per plant for one than for lots. They were 2 mins from another job in Salisbury.

But yes, we'd like it if they had more!

Not wanting to take this further off track, but I'm genuinely interested - do you work for/run a company who rents out real plants and waters them?

I'm not taking the piss - I'm genuinely asking.

Cheers
