Ebay - Royal Mail not delivering item

If he wants to get a refund through paypal, he will need to open a paypal dispute. Paypal will then inform him that he must return the item (whether it be catfood, or the original item) at his own expense, tracked, and will only refund once proof of delivery is available via a recognised courier / mail company.
It's very easy to not sign for anything from Italy, or not collect anything when a missed delivery card is left.....

I am watching this thread with interest, as I have purchased a sat nav from a guy, which has failed to turn up. I've contacted the guy who now appears unable to speak english clearly. I've since looked through his feedback and found the same item was sold previously, and the previous buyer has left negative feedback.
Well a little update - Slight good news?
It turns out all parcels get given a different tracking number for use internationally so that all countries work off the same system.
My parcel and another (not sent by me) got given the same tracking number - hence the confusion.
The lady at parcel force that I've spoken too was very helpful, but she still doesn't know whats going on, so she will call back tomorrow.
So the parcel I sent has not been delivered, but another with the same tracking number has. So I have proof of delivery, but not. Its all pretty confusing.
Hopefully as my parcel is back with parcel force and can be reshipped I wont loose all my money...
I suppose I have a case to get the postage back from the post office? Should I just take the item back and cancel the transaction and refund him?
Will have to wait for what tomorrow brings.
