PistonFest new details

Full weekend itinerary confirmed; sponsorship from Dunlop halves ticket cost - result!

As you know, PistonFest will be held this year on Saturday 30 August at the Herts County Showground in Redbourn which is conveniently located just five minutes from Junction 9 of the M1.

We've got 70 acres at our disposal so you don't need to worry about not having enough space for your tent and car.

We've also got a Sunday Service on the same site for the following day with over 500 cars already registered, put your name down here for the service.

What can you expect at PistonFest?

  • Spacious camping area
  • Kids get in free
  • Free T-Shirt for every adult attendee
  • Friendly PH atmosphere
  • Caterham Wheel change competition with prizes
  • BTCC team talk
  • Marquee
  • Live Band
  • Well stocked Bar
  • Great catered food
  • Prizes throughout the weekend
  • On site security

You can secure your space at PistonFest here. The page will be updated to include free entry for under 16's shortly.

More updates coming soon, we look forward to seeing you there.

As I said in the article, if anyone knows of a band that are free for this, please ask them to get in touch.

So if I leave a deposit for my kids I'm technically paying up front in full for them?

The kids deposit is £10 rather than £25. Not sure if that was covered in the article.

any hints on what car related entertainment might be as that would be what would make me come or not.

The venue is Herts County Showground, a 5 minute drive from Junction 9 of the M1 so it should be easily accessible for everyone. It's fairly northern for us too, being past Watford.
I thought "the North" started after Watford Gap services, as that's where roadsigns start saying "The North"

We’ve been having that discussion in the office today.
The joke has always been that ‘The North’ starts at Watford Gap services, but for many in London, anything beyond Watford is ‘The North’.

Have you tried contacting The Lettuceheads who have previously entertained us at BTaP and count amongst them at least one PHer?

Same weekend as the RetroRides Gathering, for which I'll be in UK for anyways…

How far is this venue from Shelsley Walsh?

It was cancelled due to very poor ticket sales.

I always thought it was a bit weird, and wondered how many people actually went.
