Back to tents, should I take this one
or should I take this one?
The first one is older but bigger, the second one is newer but smaller and importantly takes far less time to pitch leaving much more time to spend drinking and more time helping people with huge tents, or watching people struggle with huge tents as I continue drinking

I would definitely take the first one!
Either that or pitch the second one somewhere you are absolutely sure is not even close to the route anyone else will have to take to their tent from the beer tent or the loos. Knee-high tents are all well and good in "the wild" but tend to get tripped over by inebriated revellers at festivals, race meets etc..
