Oi you, I originate from Norfolk I'll have you know.

Snetterton is always cold wet and windy, even if the sun is shining 5 miles down the road, it's a well known local fact, (I was brought up in Wymondham, just down the A11).

I'm happy with Snetterton again, as long as it's not so friggin cold.

(it's only a 40 minute drive for me - cater for the minority PH, you know it makes sense!)

PS Vixpy, i've found some new tent pegs for you, should keep it in one place..

I really don't think Snetterton is a sensible choice for a camping event - too exposed and flat. Unless the weather is perfect it will always be pretty vile.

(Plus it's the arse end of nowhere)

Looking at a map may I be so bold as to suggest either Mallory or Oulton as both being reasonably central, or possibly Rockingham as a bit of a wild card. I fancy Silverstone, whilst a nice idea, might be too bloody expensive.

hehe sames goes for many of circuits, many having been airfields before being circuits...

so what options to we have:

plus the hillclimbs at Gurstone Down, Harewood, Loton Park, Prescott, Shesley Walsh, Doune, Barbon Manor, Longleat...
and the drag tracks

Mallory and Donnington being the most central, but i dont think Mallory has much camping space.

don't think you can camp at Silverstone, Cadwell was pretty good when we did the unofficial PF a few years ago

Now that is a splendid idea. Been at one back in 1995 - lovely atmosphere and the biggest/most varied field let loose on the track in one and the same race you'll ever see. First pace car with the 60 fastest qualifiers, then a minute or two before the seconsd pace car with another sixty, then another minute or two with the last pack of sixty... and one little Fiat Cinquecento that already was trailing the field by another 200 yards or so. Cue everyone on the grandstands cheering and waving when the Fiat went past... first lap completed, same thing only the Fiat was four hundred yards behind... the crowd went mental biggrin

You know what - count me in on that one. Now we only have to cajole some of the usual suspects into coming along for a proper PH Ring do. biggrin
