PF03 was great. Live music, marquee, band etc.

I'll tell you why it was affordable... smile

Bob, again, I don't wish to be rude, but you know nothing of the challenges or decision making faced in organising that particular event, financial or (more signifantly) otherwise.
frown I said I thought this, I didn't say I knew it.

OK I'm not suggesting what I've done is comparable to the events that PH put on but I do have 4 national events under my belt, hundreds in attendance over multiple days and I currently run in excess of 8 events every year for another club. I'm not inexperienced and I do understand some of what these events can take out of you.

Without wishing to wade in

Can I just say, Ted and Paul, regardless of what other people are saying, I would very much like a PF this year, unfortunately BTaP falls just outside of my cost zone really but the chance to pitch up with some likeminded people and have a drink and maybe watch or participate in some car/vehicular fun massively appeals

I guess what I am saying is I appreciate its quite a big hassle for you guys and one you would be within your rights not to be arsed doing again, but please don't let one moaner ruin it for the rest of us

Quite right!

At the very least, it also needs 2 whiners, a whinger and no fewer than 4 cynics.

I'd appreciate it then if you didn't rewrite history by explaining why this happened and why that happened when you don't know the facts.

That’s sad; all I have is good memories, well except for windy & wet Snetterton and the flying gazebo.

I thought PF07 was superb.

Yes it was the coldest May bank holiday on record, but everyone still had fun.

Apart from the poor sod in the 106.

It was excellent except for the poor sod hwo decided to total his car on the trip home going backwards into a barrier if I remember right...

Hand eye coordination was a bit fked when it came to playing that boxing game against someones sober son (well he was 13/14 or so )

To be honest we were considering avoiding racing altogether.

A nice private camp site with good driving roads to reach it, large camp fire, big BBQ and perhaps a band for Saturday night.

Relaxed, informal, friendly and can be done cost-effectively keeping ticket prices low.

Think countryside, rather than trackside
This sounds good.

I'd be interested. It does depend however on Location and date though. Cars, feild, like minded people, BBQ and beer. What more could you want? This sort of thing ussually interests the Kit car folks too as this is basically what happens at Stoneleigh and any other big meets.

Maybe with a few routes planned out so people can do them at their own leisure in groups of no more than say 5 or 6 cars?

rofl Nice.

I remember the last PF and nearly went. Its certainly something I'm well up for. And I agree that the format is actually pretty simple. There should be a (Very, possibly) connection to or motor sport, and somewhere we can all get blotto.

And yes, please, please when you say 'central' actually mean, central. Home Counties is not central.

And for the people claiming that the North is a barren wilderness with no PH'ers, that's not true, and there ARE plenty of us and we do manage to have our own calendar of stuff to do that is plenty well attended. We just don't harp on about it all the time hehe

Garlick - make it happen.

Midlands. Camping Field. Decent loo's. Safe parking. Spot of motor racing going on in the background. Beer tent maybe, and a campfire. Piece of piss.

( I also like the idea of having it tagged on to something smaller as opposed to bigger, just like the 2CV Racing was I guess - PH does the national lawnmower racing champs or something would be fun.)
