US time whenever that is probably. Later this evening?
7PM UK normally I think.I've been running the beta with very few issues. It's much faster than before, quite a bit of my software won't run on it yet so I would suggest checking compatibility before upgrading if you're running a lot of 3rd party software.

Aye, I jumped in late when I was more sure of a stable version. All my stuff is running OK but that is for the home and not work. Keep an eye on the usual forums.

Yeh, (whilst this may not be the specific reason) they've got this new SIP stuff in there - it protects certain system directories that you can't even access as sudo. This may break many third party programs who aren't big enough to have their software have the requisite keys which can use the 'real' root account.I've been running the beta with very few issues. What this means is that when you want to install something, and the admin window pops up, the software still won't have the rights to do it's thing, unless it's from Microsoft or Adobe etc. Smaller devs may not have the clout.
You can turn it off, if you like, but it's not recommended.
I was looking at upgrading my OS, but a lot of the stuff I use needs access to the low level drivers. Bit annoying.
Looking for some more advise please. Two questions;
1 - Is there some software/way to copy pictures from my iPhone to the Mac without using the Photos app? I like to organise my pictures with folders as most are from events etc. This also leads to my next question
2 - What can I use to open pictures and click right or left to go through them without using the Photos app. Something similar to the Windows Gallery. I really don't like the Photos app...

1. You could share it between the devices? iTunes has a sync option as well but think it is from Mac to mobile device?1 - Is there some software/way to copy pictures from my iPhone to the Mac without using the Photos app? If you open the folder rather than an image you can go forward and back nicely.
I upgraded to El Capitan no problem until I tried to use Parallels 10 again, which just would not work.
I have ended up having to redo Bootcamp from scratch, mainly because Windows 10 I had on it would not reactivate either, and once I had WINDOWS 8 back on Bootcamp, Parallels 10 still would not recognise it although the trial Parallels 11 does
So looks like I've got to bite the bullet and upgrade Parallels.
Other advice is don't fk about with Bootcamp unless you know what you are doing or don't mind wasting two days of your life. Just don't.

Installed El Capitan last night, no issues... Until today, my outlook 2016 has crashed 5 times so far.
I've checked that it has the latest patch, however I guess its just a case of persevering until they iron out the bugs.
There is a patch, however there's something slightly amiss with the new security features of El Capitan that has caused these issues which has affected quite a bit of software.I've checked that it has the latest patch, however I guess its just a case of persevering until they iron out the bugs.
Yes MS have released a patch that makes things better but it's still not quite right yet.
If you were to install the current beta version of 10.11.1 then you'll see that everything works, it's scheduled to be released at the end of the month so I would suggest hanging on a smidge.
Even by Apple standards this is a strange one:
Yesterday I changed the password on my e-mail account as I thought it had been hacked. Following the (successful) reset I am unable to send e-mail on my iPhone 6 and my iPad 2 Mini but have no problem sending on the MacBook Pro.
I have even deleted the iPhone e-mail account and then reinstalled it but still can't send e-mail.
