The OSX/Apple support thread
Discussion
Yep. Had it obviously since it was introduced but did not thing to check where the local copy is for backup. There is a check box on the settings in system preferences that says that if there is room a copy is kept locally. However the documents folder is now in the cloud according to info. I suspect it is in the user library.
Edit. I should add that it works so well it did not raise any concerns hence the late realisation.

Anyone know how to stop "Photos" from popping up every time you logon / switch user?
Settings, Users, Login Items?Found it though... on Photos, go to Import and there is a tick box.
Seems the printer/scanner has an SD card slot and that was promoting it to open.

Not sure I am reading this right but swipe down after unlocking, that is swipe finger from off the main screen down, then swipe left or right depending on settings?
Thanks for the reply, and 'sort of'. I'd like them to still be on the lock screen as they are unread/unactioned.IanA2 said:
I don't know if this is of any help to anyone:
https://www.apple.com/uk/support/macbookpro-videoi...
My MBP was taken in and fixed without quibble.
As I had put in an SSD and maxed the memory, I'm really pleased as I now have a fast (almost) new machine when I had thought I had yet another door stop
I have an early 2011 MBP and on rare occasions the screen goes blank or restarts randomly (only ever done the latter once or twice).https://www.apple.com/uk/support/macbookpro-videoi...

Do you know what work they do to it to fix it?

I maxed out the memory and put in an SSD drive some time ago so I am pleased to have a machine that is now working as good or better than new

Sierra is out today. Very quiet on that release.
Just started downloading. Tried earlier but I believe it's around 6pm BST when we get to grab it.I assume once download and install has happened the forums will explode with people asking why their Mac is suddenly not working properly!
I just upgraded to ios 10.
Ipad 12.7.
In mail, iafari, settings, etc i have scrolling issues.
It will scroll down a page when i swipe down.
Then stop and hang for a few seconds.
Then i can scroll again.
After a short while it starts to work normally.
Anyone else had this problem?
What is the cut off date for going back to previous ios?
Thanks
