Quick question for any BLF A6 owners. Ordered one for my father in law which arrived a couple of days ago. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't seem to want to switch off. Is there a special way of doing it with these?

Thanks
Try a long firm press 1+ second, see if that works.

reading this and my mind is scrambled!
What would you recommend for around £25 - £50 to give brightest / longest beam? Reliable etc.
Thanks.

Convoy C8, Xtar VC2 charger and a pair of decent 18650's is a reasonable place to start. But there are loads of options.

My Fenix TK51 arrived yesterday and I'm a bit disappointed with it!

Whilst it may be rated at 1800 lumens, that is obviously a sum of both leds as it really is more like 900 lumens from my experience.

So, I think it's going to be going back.

Currently looking at an Eagletac MX25L3C instead, 3500 lumens on turbo should be bright enough!

Can I keep it on my nightstand? Is it a perfect choice for nightstand flashlight?

Got my BLF A6 yesterday, it's alright, but not a touch on the SolarForce L2T stainless steel special edition with WP-L v3 1030lumens dropin.

In what sense, light output or blinginess?

Build quality, quality of the light output, brightness is visually similar.

look back a few pages and see the comparison pics i took with the tk51 and the tm16

the 51 is and was meant to be a good and both but master of none.

Most torches don't focus or zoom.

Uniquefire are a budget brand, but quite ok quality. They do a range of larger zoomy lights:

I bought one of these ^^^ I'm very happy with it, I had some 18650s from an old laptop and bought a smart charger for £12.

Very wide angle and zooms well too.

It's definitely master of none frown and being returned.

So... Just ordered...

BLF A6

Big fan of the Eagletac lights as I have 3 others already. High hopes for the mx.

Blf seemed worth a go for £20. 1400lumens from something that small should be amusing.

Turning the head for different levels looks interesting and right up my street but the tactical modes looks complicated

Only looks to be 300 meters from what I can tell.

Turning the head would be a deal breaker for me. I have one that requires the head turning for zooming and focus, compared to the lenser system that's just a pain in the assessment, never mind turning the head for different outputs and modes. But it's like the tyres discussions, everyone's needs, likes and dislikes are different, make your choice and move on.

It's a touch over 400m. Will see how it goes. The spill area might not be enough for me.

I tend to just use one mode at a time so don't think it will be an issue. We will see!

I know the way this is going, I've tried avoiding spending TM16 money but I'll get there in the end.

If you know where to look (the right people on the right torch forums) there are often discount codes that take a big chunk off. They can't be published publicly but places like BLF are brilliant for helping you get your moneys worth.
