To find apps: AppFlow.

More hints at the 900 coming soon, comparing the 800 to a 5 series BMW and a 7 series in the pipeline

Right, I'm all apped up, there are quite a few good ones about. Even more amazingly the speech recognition works really well. Loving it so far. The missus has been playing with it and now she wants one as well hehe

Seems very good so far, my iphone 4 would occasionally crackle and cut out in my house (not the grip of death incidentally, which I never really suffered from) but the Nokia has been perfect so far (same network). The audio quality seems better on a call but there isn't a lot in it and that could just be the new gadget effect wink

Yup belle works brilliantly. I grant you my phone has turned itself off and on again randomly iirc two or maybe three times since I got it (3 months or so).

To be fair I am using the nokia 701 trial phone so was one of the first to try belle. Quite happy with it. Have a Nokia N8 which I upgraded to Anna but really wasn't that impressed with it stability wise.

Of course it could have been a bad install or that the N8 didn't have what was needed to run it who knows.

Belle works and works well.

They're discontinuing the Silverlight browser plugin.

So what does that mean with regards to the phone in question?

I never saw what the benefit of that was on my humble laptop.

Not much. Silverlight remains as a software development platform for Windows Phone 7 application development and, indeed, is one of the two software development platforms for WP7, along with XNA.
