Muppets. Why would anyone do that when you can download the magazine for free and buy a Pi Zero for £4?

Quite. I see someone paid £49 for one. Madness.

I'm usually against gouging people on stuff like this but hell, if they act so dumb then they probably deserve it and I should've picked up all six copies I saw yesterday, flogged the other five and bought the missus something nice for Xmas.

Had a quick skim through the PDF of the mag with my coffee, some interesting articles. Reminds me very much of my BBC micro days as there's a section on writing a space invaders game with all the code to type in (although these days download the PDF and cut and paste) that seems to be building as a monthly series. Anyone else remember those mags form the '80s?I never did manage to debug that BBC game biggrin I really should do more with my Pi than just use it as a cheap media player.

I'm going to pop into WH Smiths later .... not sure what I'll actually do with the Pi Zero, but think my son will be interested in a play - he's getting into coding in a big way.

Tried a couple of places and no one had one unfortunately.

What did surprise me is that my local newsagent still has a rather healthy selection of porn magazines. I thought they'd all gone bankrupt.

WHS at Gatwick south terminal had one copy of the November issue, didn't think to check in North intil it was too late.

I'll probably leave it a few weeks to order one as I suspect the retailers are swamped as well.

Chatting to a shop assistant in whsmith this morning who said she was fed up with people asking for the magazine. I was the tenth on this sleepy wet Sunday morning and I live in the middle of nowhere.

I imagine in areas with a high population the shops are completely fed up!

I saw that November one inside the Terminal too.

If you had walked outside to the London Book Store (its owned by W H Smiths) next to the lifts to go to the pick up points, they had quite a few copies. I bought 2 on friday evening!

Aimed firmly at those who want an embedded Pi, and at this price you can afford to embed them in anything and everything.
Yup. In my case I embed Pis and other boards in weather balloon payloads (see this fairly long thread from when I started); here's my Pi Zero effort:

The weight saving is very welcome, though it's a shame that I can't connect a Pi camera to it.

You can also use usb teathering and network it directly fron the usb to usb. Only a small edit of /etc/interfaces needed

Bugger. I saw that shop on my way in last night but didn't have a look. None in the London Book Store in north terminal last night either. Would have given me something to read while we were sat on the sodding tarmac for 2 hours!
