My refurbished iPad 2 arrived on Monday and it is brand new. 349 for 32gb.
I am sure it is wonderful but I don't like it when there is an improved screen available. Quite a difference in my opinion.
I'm not totally convinced, but then I have similar feelings on the 4s screen. Yes, the screen on the 4s is better than that on the 4 - but not by an order of magnitude, and I'd tend to expect something similar on the iPad.

While the improvements in resolution are welcome, I do wonder if its a case of dimishing returns - not quite the benefit that people can genuinely use.

Mine just arrived as well. One very grumpy delivery man, he was complaining he's got too much today. hehe

I can't play with it just yet because I've got work to do, but the display is fab. smile

I'm still waiting - everytime a van drives past I can't help looking out the window. There was me thinking I'm NOT a fanboy. Doh!

I'm hoping to have a better upgrade experience than some on here as I'm upgrading from my 18 month old (original) iPad.

I'm following a similar 'leapfrog' upgrade cycle to the one I follow for Windows and other gadgets - i.e. XP to Windows 7 missing out Vista; iPhone, iPhone 3, iPhone 4S.

The difference in the screen isn't comparable to the jump from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S, it's supposed to be the jump from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4. Ie BIG difference - and there was

The iPhone 4 and 4S share the same screen.

Bugger, my status has changed from 'Out for Delivery' to 'Receiver not at Home'.

I'm sitting here, looking out the window, and no delivery driver has attempted a delivery!!!

Had the same video playing on the 1,2 and latest at the same time and have to admit the latest one blows the previous two out of the water for picture quality. As we are displaying images to clients every day on the pads it is a huge plus for us.

I'm tracking it on the TNT app, so don't know who's supposed to actually deliver it, and as no-one has turned up yet I can't say.

Can't reconcile the delivery ref/consignment number on the UKMail website though.

Mine was delivered by WVC Delivery Services, or somesuch. A small independent delivery company, in any case.

Numpty moment, I meant the jump from the 3 to the 4.

But I've got good eyesight, and while I can see a slight difference, its not anywhere near as massive as the spiel makes out.

Wasn't even planning to get one but seen as I got paid today I went down to the Kingston apple store after uni to have a look and ended up buying one. There was a small line and toke me less than 10 mins to get one biggrin

Just been to the Regent Street store... pretty busy.

Not everyone found it amusing when I said "they've run out!" as I left though... hehe

Mrs Seight informs me that mine is waiting for me at home.

Nipped out to PC World to buy a case for it at lunchtime and played with the iPad2 alongside the "New iPad". To be honest it wasn't obvious to me which one was which - the displays on both were superb.

This will be my first iPad - but if I already had an iPad2 I wouldn't feel too hard done by and certainly wouldn't be looking to upgrade.

I want more than 16GB as I intend to use it for photo storage/processing on the go - but if 16GB is enough for you then I reckon the price-reduced iPad2 is a great deal.

Was in PC World looking at various bits and pieces and they had the new and old version side by side.

The new one really does have an incredible looking screen.

The wife wants one but I think it would be only a massively expensive internet browser
