I was chatting to one of the guys behind the counter and asked if he thought they would run out of stock. He said they have a lot of stock and he'd be surprised if it sold out today.

Did you get the standing ovation as you were leaving the store as well?

I didn't, but that's probably because of what I said.

Wasn't as manic as thelaunch for the iPad 2.

Did you take a note of what people were buying? When we were getting our tickets in the queue, most people seemed to opt for the 4g one - we don't even have that in this country yet. I have a feeling a lot of the ones being sold today might be going on ebay or going abroad.

Well, the web won't utilise it, and neither will the vast majority of apps at the moment. It will take a little time for stuff to 'get out' I suppose.

General way to tell is how they pay. If it's cash, its for resale.

With high res pictures and video you see the difference. Otherwise... it's like the difference form 3GS to 4.

To my eyes (and others looking) the new one was a lot sharper, almost to the point that it looked like a glossy magazine cover (does that make sense?)

I went to my local Currys.digital to see what the new ipad was like. To my suprise there wasn't one on display, so I'm a bit disapointed that I didn't get to look at one.

I think I'm going to stick with my iPad 2 for now, I don't think it's worth the upgrade just for the screen.

Mine arrived about an hour ago.
I'm new to the iPad experience. So far I'm a little underwhelmed.
Maybe time will improve.
The camera is awful. This is my first pic and I was hardly able to see the pic on the screen outside.

Both my local Currys and PC World have stock ... but only of 2 models, neither of which being the one I want.

I want the 64GB 4g one, not for the 4g alone but also for the GPS.

Never quite grasped why people want some sort or SLR on their tablet. Surely it is decent enough for casual pic taking?

Still waiting for TNT to deliver mine, at this rate I'm heading off to PC World where there's stock and return the one from Apple.
