You can pull the keyboard up so it splits the keyboard in 2 and is by each thumb.
Does that make it easier for you?
Yes i know about that, and yes it's useful. But it's still to big to type on quickly. I can type faster on my iPhone!Does that make it easier for you?
It would be better if it was slightly smaller i think. But who knows, maybe they have plans for a smaller one

So as someone who has a Macbook and a colour e-reader, which is worth getting? ipad 2 or the new version? I just want something to browse the web, Skype on and watch video/look at pics on - is the new ipad worth the extra cash? seems to be a big jump in price. Is the new screen that good?

iPad 2 IMO, it really is a bargain now.I bought one in September last year and it is excellent, the screen is great and it is very quick for browsing. Battery is very good also.
Coming from someone that has just about every Apple product in my house I was a little disappointed when I played on one yesterday in the Apple store.
The screen is undoubtedly better but I use my iPad 2 almost exclusively for web browsing so the benefits for me were marginal. It's a shame because I really wanted to walk out with one!
Photos on it looked absolutely stunning, however.

Anyone noticed it getting "warm" in use? Tech Radar seemed uite concerned about it.
Must admit I thought I would finally be opting for one, when the new screen was available - for writing music on the go, android tablets are fairly limited and quirky and there are far more pro-quality music apps for ipad. I figured the new screen would make it irresistible but (and I hope to see one later today) it doesn't seem like a deal maker for many I thought it might.

I'm being given an iPad3 by my employer as a gift. I couldn't give a st about how much it costs, all i know is it would never ever be something i would buy with my own money. I'm sure I will find it useful on occasion.
