9.4mm, no idea what the existing one is. It's a tiny bit heavier at 1.4lbs.

They said later today, but it's gone 7pm here so not sure when it will be released in UK, it's normally a Thursday when new updates are released.

yikes

That is cheap. I was hoping to get about £250 for my 64GB WiFi but looks like it will be a fair bit less.
Check out eBay. I just got a newly listed iPad 1 3g 32GB for £180 smile

It's new name is apparently "new iPad". W.T.F?

So when the next iPad comes along next year we'll refer to it as the "old new iPad". Seriously, that can't be it's name can it?

If they opened the bloody thing up properly it could be really good - imagine taking pics with a DSLR, transferring to ipad, processing in photoshop and then uploading to the web.

Something that simple is a real pain in the arse because they insist on locking the damm things down.. why ?
Er, you can do that already.

What is 'the new iPad' going to be called when the next one comes out? It's a ridiculous official name. I understand numbers get messy when we have something like iPad 23, but we're only on the third generation.

Never mind, I'll take one anyway. I wanted a nicer screen mostly for use with photography. Too bad iPhoto only works with pictures up to 19MP. I guess Sony, Canon and Nikon would be saying 'oh' at that announcement after restarting the megapixel war.
