I've never really been one to mod anything. In fact, I barely use my phone. I have about 5 apps on my iPhone!

I'm quite happy with 16GB inbuilt memory, but wish I had the 32GB of the One X!

Reading through the thread, do some Android phones come with carrier-specific bloatware? That'll drive me crazy if so!

Phones have come with it for years. To be fair, the One X (and I would guess the S as well) seems to be fairly light on it. It's mainly carrier branding on start-up/shut-down and T-Mobile use a 'W'n'W' branded internet icon which looks a bit st.

I knew phones did previously definitely, but I'm obviously too used to having an iPhone.

That's a bit of a shame, as it detracts from the user experience, I find.

As I'm getting it from Carphone Warehouse, perhaps it'll be unbranded... I can but hope.

Phew! Well, I guess we'll see when it gets here. I should have it by Tuesday next week.

About turn!

Vodafone called me up and offered me a marginally better deal, so I went for it!

£15.50pm, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb internet.

Can anyone with a Vodafone version tell me if it comes branded? Also I assume it's locked, but can be unlocked for free at the end of the contract?

It was cheaper. I also thought it was a lot smaller, but it doesn't seem to be.

No I didn't think there was a lot in them size wise. You will find within a day of getting it the iphone will feel tiny by comparison. I got rid of a Mozart 7 and wondered how I'd ever managed with something so small.

My main concern now is that I hadn't realised the T&Cs had changed with Vodafone. Now I'm not sure if I'll be OK with 500mb!

I never seem to hit it, but there's always that risk! I wonder if you can cap it with Vodafone...

It depends what you do with it I guess. Will you use wifi when at home? I've got unlimited data with 3 and on this handset (1 week old tomorrow) I've apparently used 64.22mb on 3g and 185mb on wifi.

If the one s has the same usage monitor under settings as the one x, just keep an eye on it and then go back to them if you think you'll use more.

Has anyone got a One X on 3 and had the new update yet? The HTC website says it's available and I know some on here have had it already. I keep checking but it says no updates are available.

I'm currently on version 1.28.771.9

Presuming it's the same version of ICS and Sense, you cab limit it within the software, and also set an alarm for when you get near. I found the week or so was quite data intensive, but then there were 3 updates in the first week, it's now settled to levels similar to my desire when I was regularly around 300mb, using wifi at home and work.

Cheers everyone. I should be fine then. I am now questioning whether I should have opted for the One X for slightly more though! I'm clearly not very decisive! Or am I? Not sure...

For the size difference (which is minimal) the improvements on the screen alone are worth it. The X is 4.7" S-LCD where the S is Super AMOLED and 4.3". The screen on the X is the best I've ever seen on any device, period. If you have the option of changing to the X, I would do it. But then I may be biased! hehe

I'm on 1.29.401.11 here, unbranded on Orange.

First real day with the phone today, I really like it, all other phones feel too small already! Battery life seems fine, if anything it seems better than my legend but time will tell. My biggest gripe is the horribly over sensitive volume controls on the side, the slightest brush activates them, really annyoing, almost a deal breaker to be honest. I don't understand why the buttons are touch sensitive but still act as a button, physically pressing it doens't seem to do anything. Is this normal?!
