jodypress said: Got my HTC D110 car kit yesterday. Works a treat. Pop it in and automatically turns on in car dock mode (make sure setting is on) and hooks upto my bluetooth speaker. Well worth it. Very nice bit of kit...Apple-esque in it's quality and design I need one of these, or something similar at least. £40 seems a bit steep though, I may try a 3rd party knock-off to start with.

I bought a simple plastic one with a specific fit for toe One X for £7 delivered off eBay as the HTC one wasn't due out till mid June. Works fine and just have to manually plug in power and switch to car dock. I'll post item link when I get home tonight if anyone is interested.

Rollin said: Just had an Android update install (Had one last week too)
Update required phone to have at least 35% battery remaining and to not be charging while update performed.
My phone had about 70% charge left. Following update, the battery is showing 92% charge.
1.29.401.11 now installed. Just checked, I don't have that update available yet. Do you know whatuts supposed to improve/fix?

Just installed the same update. Battery went from 95% to 91% during download and install. No idea what the update is though

I would assume it was something to do with calibration of the battery.

My delivery bag hasn't arrived yet. It should come by tomorrow hopefully. Then its 48 hours Royal Mail special delivery, so hopefully could have the replacement Saturday with a bit of wishful thinking.
Going to root the new phone after a couple of months to be safe I think.

How bad are you guys finding the battery life? It seems to be the biggest complaint with the onex that I see in my research.

Better than my Desire. Came off charge at 6.30 this morning. Light use, bit of browsing on wifi and 3g, few calls/texts and a few games of draw something and it's still at 71% remaining. No complaints

Play angry birds and watch videos and it'll shoot through it in half a day. Leave it on the side awaiting the odd call and it lasts for ages, which seems reasonable to me. And there are further software fixes due to help out battery life.

I think I was down to about 67 per cent, after taking my phone off charge at around 7.30am. Used 3g for most of the time with some Viber action and some internet browsing.
Stuck it on charge now seeing as I'm at my desk. Only because I'm going out after work.
Just wish that part of the bloody screen wasn't hazed in yellow and I didn't have to go through backing everything up, and then setting up the new phone.
Oh well.

Oh well. I rooted mine and stuck a custom rom on. When I rebooted it downloaded all my settings and apps from my google account and set itself right back up, no probs. Proper spanks the battery though. Let's about 2.5 hours running CoPilot before it turns off. Could do with better life, but can work around it.

In all fairness, I wouldn't get 2+ hours from my TomTom as a sat-nav - that long on Co-Pilot as sat-nav seems pretty good to me.

Totally agree, amazes me what people expect from a handheld device. Fair point, however, it has be judged based on comparisons with other mobiles on the market. And I find it diabolical
