Stu R said: Another traitor here, though I've just added, rather than replaced. I'll still have the iPhone but don't want to be switching phones all the time. Hoping I can just transfer completely (at least until the ip5 comes out ) Looking forward to a change though

Got my new phone yesterday evening, and now this one has a fault too. The notification light is 'leaking' through between where the case joins the glass at the top of the screen. Its not life threatening but I'm going to try and sort it out if possible. That will be another 5 days without my phone.

The sodding thing won't send hotmail emails from the Mail app.
Any suggestions? I swear I haven't done anything different from last time. The old one could send them.
Thanks guys.

I have the Google Chrome beta on mine and am generally happy with it but hadn't selected as the default option over the in built browser as I wanted the choice which came up each time I selected a link. Somehow I have managed to get the inbuilt browser as the default for links from emails which I would rather not have, does anyone know how to get back to having a choice?

Go to Settings > Apps > Find the stock browser > scroll down and press Clear Defaults. Should do the trick.

Should do the trick. That's worked, thanks. I missed that when I was searching.

Just been offered a £70 handset on a £22 month contract with T Mobile. 300 mins, 500 texts and 750mb internet. I use no more than that anyway and it was a reasonable deal but all this talk about poor battery life was swaying me towards the S3. They couldnt get near it with that though.

I'd describe the battery life as 'OK'. It's certainly not brilliant but I never expected it to be. It does take a hell of a long time to charge though, but again I'm used to the iPhone.

You soon get used to the size though. My outgoing Mozart 7 felt small within hours of using the One X.

Yep. Anything smaller just feels like a toy now.
Ito battery, mine's done great today. Off charge at half 11, two and a half hours of music on the train, Google maps in London to my interview, back on the train for another two and a half hours, this time with an hour of HD nature show and 90 mins of music. I've also been texting, emailing and surfing PH as well. Still on 10%.

Is there any way I might be able to fix the fault on this new device myself? I don't really want to go through the hassle of sending it back again.
Basically, directly below the notification light where the screen meets the frame, you can see the notification light, almost as if there is another light there. It looks like its reflecting from something.
I haven't seen anything else on the internet about this. I was going to try and cover it with something but there just doesn't seem enough room.

Is it my imagination but is the One X keyboard a qwerty?
I ask this because of course I type without looking. I noticed the other day my typing was shot to bits on it and I've just done the same now and oh dear, I'm writing so real rubbish. On closer inspection it's not in a qwerty format.
Now I'd have sworn it used to be a qwerty, or am I wrong?

Not the default silly 'guess a word totally different to what you were thinking because you haven't added all your favourite swear words to the dictionary' feature taking effect? Just me ...?
On a side note, after having a few days to get to grips with it, I'm really, really liking this phone now. I've noticed my iPhone getting used progressively less as a result.

Well, just ordered one on the basis that the only issue I could find was with the battery life, and you lot seem to consider it 'ok'!
