I googled to see what the Three network supported.

If you want to test the speed search 'speedtest.net' in the App Store a give it a try. Rememer to turn wifi off before you run a test.

I don't know what others are like, but that's not bad for 3G?

For 1 bar signal that is very good speed.

Originally 3G was only around 3mb.

I've also had a chance to try out the ear pods an boy, they really are something! I'm no audiophile but I noticed a massive improvement over the old ones.

Secondly, has anyon else tried taking photos in quick succession? The camera is really fast!

After Orange ringing me on Thursday and promising a 64GB if I accepted a guaranteed Saturday delivery, I've had no notification if it being sent, and it hasn't turned up!!

What kind of discount will I be able to manage from this?

I knew it would happen to me. I've attempted to shave my sim card down, it fits the tray but I'm getting "no sim" message frown

So I am on giff gaff. What are my options?

Order a new sim, port number over try again?

Order nano sim from 3, port number over?

Anything else I can do?

I was in the three store this afternoon and they just gave me a nano sim for free over the counter along with the adaptors to convert it back to microsim/ standard sim size.

With Orange, probably none. They're a fking useless bunch of fkwits.
I wrote to the CEO of Orange and did, finally, receive a reply..... Saying I wasn't on their system! I replied:

"Thanks for your reply.

I have provided my name, mobile number and home address - but I'm not on your system?  How very odd.

Due to the lack of information from Orange on PAYG Nano SIMs, I have cancelled my order for an iPhone 5.

Given that Orange claimed to have stolen a march on other potential 4G providers, I think the paucity of information from Orange on the new SIM cards has been a disaster.  Your marketing folk must be asleep.

I shall stick with my current phone, but each time I look at it, I shall marvel at how incompetent Orange have been in this matter"

If you search 'Nano SIM' on the Orange site, there's still no info.

Marvellous.

Well, anything specific you want to know?

As a phone it's much the same as the 4/4s.

At first you may mistake its light weight for it being flimsy, just it certainly isn't. I dropped this one on the granite floor on our bathroom this morning and there is not a mark on it.

The new touchscreen seems a bit odd at first as you do feel like you are touching the pixels.

I compared a picture I took on my old iPhone 4 side by side on both and the better contrast ratio is clearly visible.

All in all I think apple actually had the right idea, it was a fantastic phone previously, why try to make it any better?

That said, I do feel a little like the hardware is far more advanced than the software. The phone almost feels too fast when web browsing, opening apps, taking photos etc.

That is strange as aparently O2 have HSPA+ @ 21mb and are rolling out the DC-HSDPA.

Though if I'm honest, it just makes me feel better for leaving them.

Go back a couple of pages, you'll see I posted photos of my first one with scratches.

Apple store I or it from opened another for me and I picked out some marks on that one too.

Third one is scratch free though. I dropped it on our granite floor this morning an didn't scratch so I don't think it happen easily. I think the manufacture quality control must of slipped.

I'm on O2 and just got 6.5 mb down 1.6 up. Bar the ping, that's faster than my home broadband. Those on the new faster networks must be lovin it. 6.5 out of 3G is the best I've ever had an it feels pretty rapid.

You say that, but ultimately I have 100mb broadband at home so it's no improvement.

The wireless speed becomes the limiting factor. I've not had a chance to try the iPhone 5 on 802.11N as it stops everything else working.

Be interested to hear others speed results over wireless N.
