Just iP5 workers, or Foxconn in general?

Still not impressed with the battery life on mine. Taking yestersay as an example, I charged it over night and by 4pm it was down to 35%. I've already turned the brightness down and battery doctor isn't revealing anything untoward. My 4 was much better than this. My work HTC is blowing it out of the water.

Those having battery problems.

Do you have LTE turned on or off?
LTE is on
I am on Orange and having LTE on or off makes no difference to data speed, therefore I assume having LTE on is a waste of battery with no benefits as the LTE networks are not operating yet.

With the 4S there was a toggle for Data and one for 3G, but I am again assuming you cannot turn off 3G on the iPhone 5 now. If anyone has a more informed idea of if this is correct please let me know!

I'm on O2 so no option for LTE, just a toggle for 3G.

I'd take it back. Mine comes off charge at 8am and is usually at around 70% by 10pm.

yes

I'd estimate 5-10% battery per hour on moderate use.

That's what I'd be expecting tbh. Looks like its time to ask some questions then, cheers chaps.

One thing I've noticed is my screen is sometimes a bit unresponsive, at times trying to get that little flashing cursor to move to edit text can be a bd!! But not all the time, so I'm guessing software rather than hardware.

I even removed my uber cheapo screen cover to see if it was that and it wasn't...
I've had the same issue, mostly when trying to go 'backwards' from a specific message to the list of messages.

Also this one is quite annoying; whilst in a supermarket my phone loses signal. No biggie. HOWEVER it can't find any service once i've left confused It's done it a few times. Today I gave it 25mins and it STILL couldn't find anything until I did the blokey thing of turning it 'off'. And then back 'on'.

That happens regularly with my IP4 and i have to put it into plane mode and then out again.

I've a 5 on O2 so no LTE option.

The battery life is terrible. Using it for email, making calls and internet browsing through out the day means it's under 20% by 5pm. I can watch the battery deplete a good 2-3% just by browsing PH for 5mins over 3G.

I've turned off most of the location services stuff under system services but it hasn't really improved much.

Could be time to take it back.

Have you had a previous iPhone to compare it too, f13ldy?

We've just ordered some iPhone5's at work and been told the leadtime is 12 weeks - is that right?

Depends where you are ordering from and what you want I guess.
I walked into an orange shop yesterday and walked out with a 64gb 5 10mins later.
Apple store in Brum had plenty too, I just couldn't be arsed to get involved in the instore rugby scrum!

Yup have had 2,3GS and a 4.

The battery is comparable to my 3GS I would say.

Unless you are absolutely desperate to have one, its probably worth leaving it until the new year.

Hopefully, by that time, the rush will be over, and there could be a possible software update?

iOS6 should be fine (excluding maps) as its been around for about 6 months now (available to dev's first of course).

Some of the bugs reported here were also visible in iOS5.
