The top button will tell you when it's fully charged I think but there's no need to charge it before use really.

Finally got a date window now! 15th-19th of this month.

Do Apple send me tracking once it's dispatched so I can figure out what day I need to stay home on?

Walked into O2 in Warrington last week and picked one up there and then. Really impressed but to be fair I dropped my 4 after about a month and smashed it, and never got round to replacing it.

Just out of interest, I read that when 4g is availible, anyone on O2 or Orange with an Iphone5 wont be able to get this? does anyone have any decent info on whether this is true or not, also, will 4g require a new contract? (sorry but i'm far from technology savy by PH standards if these come across as stupid questions)

It's 02 or Vodafone as the uk iPhone5 on works on the band being run by EE (tmobile/orange) - I'm sure this will change nearer the time the others launch but only EE will be launching before next July in anycase so expect the 5s to have the necessary revisions to make others upgrade again wink

Cheers CB, sort of reassures me slightly, thought for a moment I was going to be a victim of the service provider small print!

In practice it'll be a couple of years before it's reasonably widely available. O2 and Vodafone will be using the same network.

To get 4G you'll need a 4G contract, and to live in one of the 17 cities they *aim* to launch it in.

4G contracts don't yet exist, and there are no set prices for it...

Ordered and payed for mine as an upgrade last Tuesday from orange on a business contract, they said it would be up to 5 days but still nothing.
Anyone have any recent deliveries from orange and if so how long from order?

TIA.

Possibly. Not all iPhone5s will be able to utilise 4G on all operator's 4G networks. This is because they operate on different frequency ranges. You need to ask the specific question to the operator you're with to see if the iPhone5 they're selling you will work on their 4G network when it's available.

As for the contract, again - check when you're signing. The agreement I have (in Australia) doesn't state 4G or 3G in the contract, you can simply use whatever the phone can pick up.. however the amount of data included in the agreement is the same. Ie. it's not as if a 3G contract is 1gb/month and a 4G contract is 30gb/month.

No docks being made, you say?

Small hole in the bottom for the lightning adapter and we have a winner.
Hahahaha genius! I genuinely let out a small wee laughing at that.

You know what I'm going to be doing this weekend. (I don't have much to do)

you will get a txt and you'll have to use the tracking number given with the specific courriers website tracking system

also don't just stay at home, set up a tent outside the front door as the delivery guy will most likely fart on the door knob then claim attempted delivery and leave

After all that I just walked into my local Vodafone store and they had one on the shelf, so it would have been rude not to buy it whistle

Another usage screenshot from today. The phone came off charge yesterday at 8am and the usage consists of about an hour of music, 15 mins of calls, about 20-30 texts and the rest will have been Internet browsing on wifi. Very impressed with it.

Noticed today that the 30 pin to lightening adaptors that were showing October in the Apple store are now showing 2 weeks delivery.

Apparently the chip in them has been 'cracked' now so the market should be flooded with 3rd party versions soon biggrin. I'm holding out, £25 each is ridiculous.
