My girlfriend has a iPhone 5. Every time she goes into the app store she can see the first page, but when she goes to click on an app to buy it the app store just closes and the phone goes back to the main screen. I originally though the app store may have been playing up and checked it on mine but mine is working fine. It has been doing this for a few days now.

Any ideas? We are going to take it to the apple store and see what is going on but thought someone may have some info.
Turned it off and back on again?
As another member above said, if that doesn't resolve it, hook it up to iTunes or iCloud, and sync it.
You can then reset it from Settings or restore it via iTunes, and resync with the last backup.

Yeah it's been turned off and on. I will back up and restore when I get home before I go off into town, hopefully that will stop her complaining. Told her to do it herself but she won't.

I had to buy a Lightning cable today too, I hit 28% by lunch despite charging overnight

I don't know whether it's the iPhone or vodafone's stty network .. No reliable 3G in the City of London!

Just ordered a 32Gb in black to replace my Blackberry Torch. Just hope I can type with it, I've got quite big hands.

Has anyone else noticed an odd glitch in the sound output over bluetooth?

Seems to happen within the first 15 seconds of a track, happens on both a Bose dock and a Parrot in the car?

Question for people who ordered online, how long did it take from your order going into "Preparing" or "Shipped" before it actually arrived with you?
Less than 2 weeks from ordering from Vodafone to it arriving at home.

It's pretty established now that this time Apple have prioritised Networks and Contract handsets over sim free ones.

Went to back it up last night but thought I would double check it still wasn't working before I did and it was working fine. So no idea what was up. But she has downloaded some new games so all is happy and peaceful in my world again.

Yet O2 have told us 12 weeks (business contract). That's an actual order that we've got in place, not a speculative enquiry.

Its all very variable at the moment due to the iPhone factory disruptions, not to mention apparently (I have no proof of this) a large batch of iPhone's was pulled due to no quality control resulting in a large proportion of that batch being not fit for purpose.

Yeah Voda have a few by all accounts as do 3.

I suspect there is far, far greater demand on O2 for iPhone5's given they still have the lion's share of iPhone users.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade.... but....

Does anyone else think the 5 feels a bit cheap and light when compared to the 4/4S?
