it can do flash and usb storage, just not out of the box.

Flash is going because Adobe are dropping it for HTML 5.
USB Storage because as you say, they are pushing cloud
HDMI - I think they are saving for other tablets later in the year.

Iplayer will come along soon (it'll have to), but until then you can use the flash version.

You can transfer directly to/from a PC.

Remember the thing costs less than £200, I think its a bargain.

Fair cop I think BBC should of produced a HTML5 version of iplayer long time ago thus getting rid off flash. The hardware is all about what is best for your needs not all going to satisfy all!

I've been using it for a bit now and the chrome browser experience certainly isn't the fluid fast experience you get with iPad, its kind of jerky like my old samsung tab was with browsing.

Not sure about the cards thing because the device doesn't have 3g to see where you go and give you relevant data.

The voice recognition is 100% perfect when I swipe up from home button for the go thing but when I dictate for forum posts etc its not very accurate.

Whatsapp doesn't work so can't text people on their phones.

No flash of course, asked it to find me tips for using it and it directed me to a flash video lol.

Overral though its an excellent device purely because I can take anywhere I go. I've downloaded some excellent apps but nothing as yet that will keep me using it offline.

Feel a bit pissed off that google offer the worst deal for the thing but I guess if this thing takes off we will all benefit.

Just need a case that doesn't obstruct the bezel.

Really looking forward to having a play on one of these. All I ever find myself using on my brother's iPad is the internet browser anyway so hopefully this will suffice.

Only one part of the fix works, the HW thing results in a blank screen for films and similar stuff. Still, improved the browsing but I fear the battery will suffer.

Got my 8gb delivered yesterday from google play store 2 days after ordering.

Set up very easy and done last night, my youngest (8) has taken a real shine to it.

Recieved an email on my blackbeard while out today confirming purchases running to $130 for coins in a game, rapidly phoned home to get him off the damned thing. PIN number applied to it now, D'Oh! Bit annoyed about it but there's only me to blame I suppose.

Ouch unlucky on the purchase of the coins! Dam programmer of kids games. Remember a while back in USA law suit v apple about kids game and purchase extras 1 apple owner had over $1.5k on a bill her kid managed to spend!

Wrong about this, as long as you don't use Google movies its fine with the hw setting.

Had an annoying screen stutter when scrolling slowly which seems to have cleared using dolphin HD. Battery has lasted about a Day and a half after constant web browsing, which is pretty good.

I think my journey with the nexus is coming to an end.

I just can't get on with it very well, and its not able to do what I want.

Does anybody on here want it?
