Google nexus 7
Discussion
I'd love to update my original Galaxy Tab as I think that 7in is perfect for me to read, browse and watch video on the move. I traded my original iPad for it and haven't regretted it once. No SD card doesn't seem like an issue as at home I can always stream video/photos. No HDMI? Haven't used it once with my Galaxy Tab and my S2 has it if needed. Just have to justify getting one now.
It is a great looking device but I just wish Google had announced competitors to the Apple TV and Airport Express. The Q misses the mark with no local streaming yet and a built in amp which not many people will want/need.

Nope - there is a thread on the XDA developers website where the US people are going mental...quite a lt of shops have released early, so all the play-store people have got nothing, despite ordering way earlier than others....
It has had 300 ages added to it in the last few hours. There were a few UK people claiming they had them from Ebuyer.
Here for example someone has walked in to a shop and bought one (US):-

Just received jellybean on my Galaxy Nexus, and very impressed. I was going to hold out as I have been given an iPad, but I think I will have to spring for the Nexus 7 now.
Google Now is fantastic by the way. Picks up even the most weird questions I throw at it, and even works well in the car due to all the voice commands it supports. It sussing out driving conditions on the way to work and recommending detours due to traffic without prompting it is most impressive.

I just cancelled mine from the play store. I originally ordered the 8gb version but there was also a 10 quid delivery charge. Now ebuyer are selling these before the play store with free delivery so I may as well order the 16gb one for 30 quid more.
Also feel a bit miffed thinking that the play store would be the first to ship these out??

Been using the tablet for only a day, but really impressed. This is my first tablet - been holding off for the right device at the right price. I think this will suit me fine' but not replace my desktop/ lappy. Not sure if I got the £15 credit to my Google acct. Hopefully music / magazines will be available soon.I have put Some music & movies on, it does just what I want. I still have sausage fingers' so have to be careful typing.

You can use TunnelBear to activate Google Music - instructions here http://www.vikitech.com/7881/sign-up-google-music-...For the last couple of posts:
I downloaded google music, its a very basic music player - I guess its focus is on cloud storage. n7player is a much better app and cheaper than winamp etc.
You can get flash working, you need to "sideload" the flash app and then use a browser that isn't chrome, more info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1...
Note that USB OTG isn't fully supported out of the box. This means you can't plug in extra storage (like a USB stick) and grab files from it. There is a solution though, if you root it and use an app called stickmount you will be able to access external storage. I'm interested if this will work with MTP devices (like a camera) so I can download and review images whilst out shooting with the camera.
