I had the Nexus out in the garden recently and I'd say that it's too reflective to use in the sunlight for reading. The Kindle is much better in this respect.
Agreed I have both kindle is great for reading and the battery life is awesome I have the 3g version and is worth the extra. Nexus I use for movies/youtube/mail don't have or like fancy mobile phones.

Anyone got any recommended conversion settings for Movies using Handbrake?

I have a load of DVDs and Blurays ripped directly to mkvs (so 20 odd gb for some Blurays!).

I'd like to be able to get a few films on the Nexus 7 - Any decent settings for getting them to under say a gig for a typical movie without losing too much quality?
I have been using http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/free-3gp-...
Great free converter which you can have custom resoluion settings!

I have the 16Gb which is worth the extra £. OK i don't load with music the occasionally dump some films. Storage isn't that much an issue for me.

NP, it is actually called Nexus Media Importer and is £1.87. Could be handy as I have loads of spare SD cards.
Shame it can't write to SD card but still very useful! There an another that can view images via SD non root alter also!

With this in mind, is it worth getting the 16gb model over the 8gb model still?
The system is read only so the 16Gb is useful!
